When I was a kid, I forged wishes and dreams
I said, “I’ll fight for justice and bathe on streams”
“I’ll help the poor and have a laugh with daddy”
“I’d have a nice job and always act bravely”

But when I grew up I found myself in tears
Those things are farther from me than it appears
I’m not a hero and I don’t have a dad
Too many days passed wherein I was so sad

But then, I stood back up and made up my mind
I’ll chase these dreams and leave all the pain behind
After all, I’m no longer alone. I have…
I’ve entrusted these dreams to someone I love

I told her that I really do love her.

She answered with something like a smother.

That girl said that she doesn’t need my love.

Oh man, she’s all that I wanted to have!

I asked some for their brotherly advice.

They said to me to stop. They were all nice.

But I listened not and pursued my love.

And so now, pain and tears are all I have.

‘

I learned a new lesson in this event.

-Listen to the advice of your brethren.

If only I valued their nice counsel,

I wouldn’t be crying like a damsel.

‘

But what can I do, love’s so powerful?

But in what I did, I looked like a fool.

I disturbed that lady and looked jerky.

What am I gonna do now? Please help me!

I really want her to be my woman,

Maybe that’s part of my being human.

I want to serve my brethren, I really do!

What shall I do, shall I choose from the two?

‘

Can’t I do both at the same time, sibling?

Please do tell me now what you are thinking!

I definitely need an advice now.

I believe that it will help me, somehow.

The sun’s risen and is shining so bright,

The birds have begun their majestic flight,

The trees are jolly, oh, it’s quite a sight!

Let’s now wake up and start this morning right!

Thank God, say your prayers, then fix your bed,

Have your breakfast, it’s nice to eat some bread.

Today is holiday, relax your head,

Sing, dance, have your creativity fed.

Just look around and contemplate a bit,

Think of all that God gave you as a gift;

Your parents, siblings and even your teeth,

You should thank Him, He that has made you breathe.

‘

Have fun and be glad all throughout the day.

Use your freedom; don’t abuse it, okay?

Spend some time reading the bible today,

Listen to what your preacher has to say.

‘

When the moon rises and the sun has set,

You know it’s time to dine and have some rest.

If you’ve done good and did it to fullest,

You know you’ve spent your day doing your best

Flowers are blooming and are really fragrant,

The sun is relaxing and very radiant.

Delicious fruits are growing, oh, what a treat!

I’ve got friends to see and new people to meet.

This season happens only once every year,

So loosen up, my dear friend, and have no fear.

Drink a lot of water, it’s good for the soul,

Eat a lot of veggies, put it on a roll.

‘

Forget about the heavy rain and the cold.

Those problems are past, we have new things to hold.

Go to the beach and swim, listen to the rhyme,

Enjoy this season, it’s called our summertime!

Have you ever fallen in love with a woman

Who never frets, nor smirks, nor flirts with any man?

I have. And she is very pretty and awesome

She is the girl that doesn’t annoy anyone

Well behaved, knowledgeable and very cheerful

She is the girl that has made my life colourful

When I’m with her, my happiness is bountiful

That cute little lady whose smiles are plentiful

‘

She walks with grace and dances so wonderfully

She talks with politeness and true humility

With that girl, I want to start a new family

With her as mommy and I would be the daddy

Sometimes I wonder, must I give her up?

My feelings for her, must I make it stop?

All I wanted to be is a just man,

But now I’m confused, shall I take her hand?

I looked for inspiration around me,

And lo, I found her bedazzling beauty!

I didn’t mean to fall in love with her,

But oh, my heart got caught with that stunner!

Right now, I really don’t know what to do.

Maybe I should ask her to love me too,

Or just leave her the way she is right now.

What about my duties? I’m so tensed now.

‘

Yes, I have to strive for my salvation.

I must work until I reach perfection.

But how can I do it without her love?

She that awakened the feelings I have.

‘

Will this romance help me in my duties?

Or will it be a hindrance? -My worries…

Will my soul be able to do what’s right,

When it’s too busy asking her to plight?

‘

I want to do good and help my brethren.

I also want to marry that maiden.

Will I be able to do well in both?

Or will I get torn apart like a cloth?

‘

I am so puzzled right at this moment.

I might as well ask you for a comment.

Please tell me now, what should I do and say?

I wish I knew where I must go today.

Every single day that the world exists

Seems filled with hatred and evil racists

The Earth did not start this way; it had bliss

But apparently, they had made it cease

‘

They that should be our perfect example

Are the ones to start the fight and rumble

Some world leaders that surely do fumble

They are the cause of our grief and trouble

‘

All they want is to bring us misery

Why they’re like that is not a mystery

Because they were born extremely grabby

They really don’t respect anybody

‘

The world needs a super hero indeed

To stop the war, unlawfulness and greed

But I’m afraid, his voice they did not heed

And it just makes my heart cry, hurt and bleed

‘

When will you stop waging this useless war?

You’ve been killing everybody so far

Your bombs have become sorrow’s avatar

Will you halt before you turn all to char?

‘

The war has left nothing but great sadness

No place safe, not even the sea’s vastness

And oh, now, the question is simply this

Why can’t we have unity and world peace?

Long ago, my life was dull and boring

Till I saw this lovely lady smiling

From the clouds up high, is her origin

She caught my heart with her graceful dancing

‘

Never have I seen a lass so pretty

She is so neat and so very tidy

I bet she never ever acts silly

That girl whose beauty is high and mighty

‘

She is the girl of my dreams, I admit

She’s unlike any dame I’ll ever meet

I’d court that princess and shall never quit

I’ll get her love and sweep her off her feet
